Account Deletion

App Name: Brain Elo
Developer: Klaus Greiner Dev

You can delete your Brainelo account (the app is called “Brain Elo” on Google Play) and its data at any time — in the app or by email. Deletion in the app happens immediately.

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your progress, ratings, streaks and achievements will be lost. Deleting your account does not cancel a Brainelo Pro subscription — cancel it in Google Play.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: In the App (Recommended)

The fastest way is directly in the app or at play.brainelo.de:

  1. 1.Open the Brain Elo app (or play.brainelo.de) and sign in.
  2. 2.Open the Profile tab.
  3. 3.Scroll down to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
  4. 4.Tap Delete My Account, then Confirm Deletion. If you have an active subscription, the app first reminds you to cancel it in Google Play or the App Store.
  5. 5.Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Option 2: By Email

If you cannot use the app, you can ask us by email to delete your account:

  1. 1.Send an email from your account’s email address to klausgreinerdev@gmail.com.
  2. 2.Use the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and include your username.
  3. 3.If you played as a guest without an email address, tell us your username; we may ask you to confirm that the account is yours.
  4. 4.We delete the account without undue delay, at the latest within one month, and confirm by email. The same data is deleted as in the app.

Data That Will Be Deleted

Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes from our systems:

  • Profile: username, display name, email address, the look of your brain avatar, birth year and age group, timezone, onboarding answers and settings.
  • Game progress: game history and scores, Elo ratings, XP, streaks, achievements, daily challenges and your league places.
  • Friends and challenges: friends and friend requests, the challenges you sent or received (also in the other player’s list) and your suggestions and votes.
  • Family plan: your family membership. If you own a family, it is dissolved and its members lose Pro.
  • Support and statistics: support tickets and their attachments, push tokens and the record of notifications sent to you, satisfaction statistics, wellbeing check-ins, iPhone waitlist entries, data exports, profile check records and the devices and IP addresses your account was seen on.
  • Sign-in and subscription records: your Firebase sign-in account (Apple, Google, email or guest; with Sign in with Apple the app also revokes Apple’s sign-in tokens) and your customer record at RevenueCat.
  • Merged guest profiles: guest profiles that were merged into your account, and their anonymous sign-ins, are deleted within about a day.

What Is Not Affected

Most data is gone the moment you confirm. These things are not affected or are kept for a short time:

  • Other players’ results: other players keep their own game results, ratings and league history.
  • Google Play purchases: Google keeps its own records of your Play purchases under Google’s terms. A subscription keeps running until you cancel it in Google Play.
  • Backups: our backups are encrypted and deleted after at most 30 days; until then your data can still be in them.
  • Deletion record: we keep only your account identifier, the time of each deletion step and the names (not the contents) of deleted files, for 35 days after the deletion is complete, so that it can be finished at our service providers and applied again if a backup ever has to be restored.
  • Ban list: if your account was banned, its device identifiers and a hash of its email address stay on our ban list as long as the ban lasts (see section 8 of the Privacy Policy).
  • Statistics: onboarding statistics, crash reports and usage analytics at Google are deleted on their own schedule (see section 8 of the Privacy Policy); aggregated, anonymous statistics that cannot be linked to you are kept.
